When equipment fails, a site expands or infrastructure needs replacing, your team needs an engineer who understands both the device and the services depending on it. Compritech combines Junos engineering with onsite installation, fault investigation, controlled migration and secure equipment retirement.
EX switches: keep offices and campus networks connected
We help organisations commissioning, expanding or replacing Juniper access, distribution and core switching. Work can include port mapping, VLANs, uplink configuration, link aggregation, management access and PoE checks for phones and wireless access points. Virtual Chassis and campus fabric work is assessed against the model and software release.
For connectivity faults, we investigate interface errors, unstable links, VLAN mismatches and spanning-tree behaviour. Before a switch replacement, we document port assignments and agree checks for representative business services, so your team can confirm the change has worked.
MX routers: investigate routing and manage WAN changes
Compritech helps with router pre-staging, circuit migrations, routing changes and fault isolation. We review the approved routing design, interface configuration, BGP sessions, route policies and forwarding behaviour within the project scope. Packet loss, MTU mismatches and unexpected traffic paths are investigated using evidence from the affected network.
For hardware refreshes, we record peerings, circuits and dependencies, prepare implementation and rollback steps, and validate agreed routing and resilience checks. Vendor escalation is coordinated through the customer's authorised support arrangements where required.
QFX switches: deploy and troubleshoot data centre connectivity
We provide rack-and-stack, power and airflow checks, optics installation, patching and commissioning for agreed QFX projects. Engineering can include VLANs, link aggregation, routing and spine-and-leaf connectivity, with EVPN-VXLAN work scoped against the approved design and supported platform features.
When server or storage connectivity is unreliable, we check the physical links, interface counters, MTU settings and relevant fabric adjacencies. During a data centre migration, we map dependencies and agree the order in which links and switches can be changed or removed.
SRX firewalls: protect connectivity during deployment and replacement
We help businesses configure and replace SRX firewalls against approved security requirements. Work can cover interfaces, zones, policies, NAT, routing, site-to-site VPNs and management controls. Chassis clustering and failover testing are included where supported and agreed.
For application connectivity faults, we investigate sessions, policy matches, translation and routing. Before migration, we identify critical traffic flows and agree acceptance tests with the customer. Retirement planning accounts for VPN keys, certificates, credentials, configuration files, logs and device storage.
Optics, power supplies, fans and modular components
A fault may sit in the cabling or a replaceable component rather than the configuration. Compritech can check transceiver compatibility, optical readings, interface errors, power alarms and environmental status. Planned replacements follow the applicable hardware procedures, including checks for airflow direction, power compatibility and whether shutdown is required.
Legacy equipment and other Juniper platforms
Send the exact model, software release and required outcome for older equipment. We assess whether the proposed work is practical, identify support and compatibility dependencies, and help plan replacement or retirement where appropriate. Projects involving ACX, PTX, Session Smart Routers or Juniper wireless equipment require a separate capability and scope review before delivery is agreed.
What you receive
- An agreed scope covering the equipment, access arrangements and expected outcome.
- Implementation steps, dependencies and a rollback plan appropriate to the change.
- Validation results and a technical handover recording outstanding actions.
- Asset records and agreed handling evidence for equipment retirement.
Device features depend on the exact hardware, licensing and software release. Independent engineering services do not replace manufacturer warranty or vendor support entitlements. Factory reset and configuration removal are assessed separately from verified storage sanitisation.
